What does a virus have to do with marketing?
Viral marketing describes any strategy that encourages individuals to pass on a marketing message to others, creating the potential for exponential growth in the message's exposure and influence. As marketers, we try to encourage our messages to go viral... but often it's the most unlikely things that spread like wildfire.
At this event we'll talk to our industry panel about what makes an effective 'deliberate' viral marketing strategy and how to manage an 'accidental' one. And of course, we'll have a look at what has worked brilliantly... and terribly in some well-known viral marketing campaigns.
