Richard Chapman, Managing Director of Spark Communications and Impact Live, has worked on numerous PR and experiential marketing campaigns for leading brands such as Fosters, 3 Mobile, ANZ, Hugo Boss, Ford, BP and Motorola and Nintendo. Richard has also managed numerous large scale events for the Nintendo Wii, which was recently named one of Australia’s most trusted brands in a Brand Asset Valuator study by advertising group Y&R Brands.

Since 1987, David Grant Special Events (now rebranded as DG3), has entertained the rich and famous at events from Sydney to New York. DGSE has been “Australian Event Organiser of the Year” a record 10 times and with over 3000 events to their credit, DG3’s client list is a who’s who of the world’s most discerning companies - from  luxury brands to blue ribbon corporates.  Uniquely for an Australian event company, the DG3 team works extensively throughout the world, particularly in the USA, and have also produced VIP events at the last 7 Olympic Games for the International Olympic Committee and several US clients. Dawn Denton

Marketing Manager, Research In Motion (the makers of BlackBerry®)



Dawn is responsible for RIM ANZ’s overall consumer channel and customer marketing strategy and implementation. Dawn’s creative flair has already shone through with her successful execution of the BlackBerry Bold Cirque du Soleil launch and Optus campaign,  BlackBerry Pearl Flip MTV launch with Sam Sparrow and most recently the BlackBerry Curve 8520 launches with Jessica Mauboy and Joel and Benji Madden from Good Charlotte.

Prior to joining RIM at the beginning of 2008, Dawn has held sales and marketing management roles in leading Australian telecommunications companies such as AAPT and People Telecom. Before moving to Australia in late 2000, Dawn was a journalist for Fairfax (formally INL newspapers) at the Evening Standard responsible for the stuff.co.nz online execution, entertainment, travel, gardening and health rounds and features. She is also a mum to her three sons Dejan (10), Danye (5) and Deontaye (3).
 


Richard Chapman

Richard has more than 15 years experience in marketing communications, covering public relations, sponsorship marketing & leverage and experiential. Richard is currently Managing Director of both Impact (experiential) and Spark (PR).

Richard has overseen major marketing communications campaigns for leading global brands including Fosters, 3 mobile, Nintendo, ANZ, Hugo Boss, Ford, BP and Motorola – to drive brand positioning and awareness through the development of creative marketing solutions.
